Basically, there was this show in the late 60's called Birdman, who was a superhero who was half-man, half-bird... and then the Cartoon Network remade it where Birdman is an attorney who has to represent other Hanna Barbara characters.... and his old foes are either the opposing attornys or the judges.
Stephen Colbert plays his eye-patch wearin' boss. You really do have to check it out. :)
I think the fact that Gary Cole does "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" makes this whole thing that much funnier.
