ReplyDeleteI was just disappointed today to learn that my 14 year-old was going to a party, which leaves, guess who, yes ME, home alone to answer the door....
"oh, you look so cute!"
"Can you say trick or treat?"
"Oh, who are you? aren't you sweet"
"Weren't you just here with that other guy with the hatchet in his head?"
"Stop taking big handfuls I don't believe you that your brother is home dying in bed"
"Just take the whole bowl"
"I'm leaving an empty bowl with a note that said YOU took all the friggin candy so the rest of the neighborhood kids can kick your bloody little arse!"

I'll be outside waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arise out of the most sincere Pumpkin Patch on Halloween night and deliver toys to all the true believing children. I feel sorry for all you poor souls who will miss out due to your pessimism and unbelief.
