shame

My mother was thinking about adopting
a retired greyhound.. I thought it was a good idea
I like greyhounds

but then.. she did the unthinkable
she shamed our family
and adopted this monstrosity

it's a mini poodle

a yappy little foofoo dog

out of the entire canine world
my least favorite dog - with out a doubt
is the poodle

just look at it
it looks like it should be wearing a
rhinestone cowboy hat
and riding tricycle with a clown

when I was a kid..
the only dogs we ever had were pit bulls
PIT BULLS!
how could my mother go from a pit bull owner to
a mini poodle owner?

How did it come to this?

But, since I love all animals
I'll try my best to like the poodle

but I can't promise anything

*sigh*

    yay for adoption!

  3. Just try to keep in mind that the original breed was bred to be badasses - then people started screwing around with them. So you should really hate the French. It's OK - everybody does.

  4. I don't know why, I was expecting this big monstrous dog and then the picture came through and I laughed my ass off.

    I hate foofoo dogs, too!

but, I guess they need love and homes as well.

they remind me of Lindsay and Paris. **shudder**

I grew up with a poodle, and I liked him a lot.

He didn't like me, though. He only liked my mom and followed her everywhere and whined and whined when she was away.

  6. She's cute.

And at least she isn't a cocker spaniel. Those are the only dogs I really don't like.

  7. I don't know from dogs, but I've heard that those Poodles are smart. Are they?

    That's o.k.

You can dislike that poodle vicariously through me.

that dog reminds me of a Shih Tzu I used to take care of for a friend. For those not familiar with the breed, the big hint will be that ZU means "all over the house."

That dog was ebil. Pure Ebil.

  9. Aww shit, I couldn't help but spit beer when I got to the "monstrosity" pic. That is too damn funny!

    Anything but a poodle!

  10. I think Chihuahuas are worse than poodles (said the owner of a Golden Retriever).

I think ALL God's creatures are beautiful.
    Except for poodles.
    And Keith Richards.

  14. Poodles scare me.

I have always wanted a greyhound.

  15. It could have been worse. She could have ended up with a hairless cat.

    Hey Jen...Groover here

I ronic timing...I am dogsitting Sparky again...will have to post a pic or two in my blog I've neglected.

    http://sayyywhaat.blogspot.com

Here's the deal...does the dog have a high/whinny pitched bark?

The small runt of a dog my neighbor has a bark that pierces you like a knife in your ear! In this rare case...the dog should be no longer.

Enjoy the Mom visit and say hi to Peaches for me!

...(tell us mom didn't name the pooch Peaches)

    YES!!!

  19. Oh Noooo Jen. This is good reason to avoid visits to mom. The pit bull/ poodle conversion is rather odd.

Oh...high pitched, whinny dog barks are pet peeve numero uno...right behind babys on a plane that cry.

    Non-aggressive solution for both--
    EAR PLUGS
