Like I said before
I've been soooo busy with work
I've been neglecting my blog
Working at home
at night & weekends
And in honor of all my hard work
and dedicated service
Friday
my boss
CUT MY PAY
see kids..
in a recession people don't spend any money
on advertising..
meaning
SOON
I'll be on the street
with a cardboard sign
begging people for spare change
WOO HOOOOOO!
Sympathy comments are welcome.
Thanks
Jen

Sorry Jenster
ReplyDeleteI can relate...moved to TN and am dealing with a hiring freeze issue myself.
Looked to downsize and saw some property on a street off the beat n path. Came home and found out 2 of the 7 sex offenders in town lived o the street...and they looked like casting central...perfect sex offender looking guys. One of which had a mullet like it was '87
They give full detail out here...pic, home address, offense
Sorry about the 'slack' of appreciation for your work!
We may all be Blogging in the same boat soon.
ReplyDeleteYou know which boat. . .
I feel your pain. I made a good chunk of change in overtime pay last year, now overtime is strictly forbidden. We have a hiring freeze, with mandatory unpaid leave and layoffs a pretty good possibility in the near future.
ReplyDeletemaybe we can start a blogging commune. that way we can all pitch in, right? Now, where should this commune be placed?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Jen. That sucks, big time.
I'm sorry Jen. Truely.
ReplyDeleteTeri: as far as the commune, Kentucky is the logical choice...cost of living is already cheaper; so you won't notice the crunch as 'money troubles' per se, you'll just think of it as 'culture shock'.
My offering of sympathy: http://tinyurl.com/bqkh8w
ReplyDeleteJust stay away from my corner!
ReplyDeleteI know that sucks so bad... hey look if you still want that mariachi band I'll do it and paint a mustache on my face ... Hey... I'll do it for free...

ReplyDeleteMy sympathies. Things are pretty much the same if not worse in the design/construction business. Nobody's building nothing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Jen. I hope it's not a permanent thing. How can your boss not appreciate all your hard work, like your insulting haikus where you rag on all your co-workers, and the hours of blogging you do on company time. You deserve better. Sometimes bosses can be so damn unappreciative...
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA "...on company time" Yeah, Jen - what's up with that...they don't give raises for Slacking - DOY!
ReplyDeleteNow might be a good time to start coming to work with a huge empty bag.
ReplyDeleteStock up on office supplies for home ;-)
Paper, staples, coffee, chair, discs........
Sorry to hear of that, Jen. Blogging's kinda overrated anyway...kinda.
ReplyDeletewhat will you do with the cats?
ReplyDeleteBlogging is overrated? Surely you don't mean JENS BLOGGING IS OVERRATED? THE NEXT PERSON TO SAY BLOGGING IS OVERRATED GETS A PUNCH IN THE NECK.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is overrated! Come on, Granny, I'll kick your ass! (of course, you'll have to wait 'til I finish my nap)..
ReplyDeletethat rat bastard
ReplyDeleteNo not Jen's-just having to blog every single day and blogging every second of the damn day-in general. Definitely not Jen's.
