Richard Simmons came running by with his entourage
and people with video cameras
He looked at me • He feverishly waved • He said HI!!!
I said nothing...
I hesitatingly raised my hand and gave a wave back
and then he was gone.

if only all brushes with fame could be so thrilling... ;) i once touched stephen weber's (from wings!) leather jacket as he walked by me at a packed party. couldn't stop talking about it. apparently still can't. i heart stephen weber *sigh*

You're lucky, Jen. Because the last person who had an exchage with "Mister" Simmons got slapped in the face by Mister Simmons in an airport. You're lucky to have made it out ALIVE, really.
Actually Jen I don't believe I ever told you this before. But in the early 80's I was a guest on his show. A woman was telling him about how she lost 500 pounds with his "Deal-A-Meal" program. She said she was SO fat, that she never left her house because she couldn't fit through the door, and she would have ho-ho's and hershey bars for breakfast. WELL, it was such a moving experience, we ALL cried. I don't think there was a dry eye ANYWHERE in that room, really. We all hugged. I'll never forget it.
Grant stole my question! Seriously? An entourage? Well if RS has one I need to get me an entourage too!
The only problem with this is I hate most poeple and cant stand people around me all the time.
