morning coffee

I was getting my coffee this morning and
I noticed the kid waiting on me
had on a watch like this...

He was overweight and wearing a hair net

I'm guessing his hobbies include:
• Stamp Collecting
• Solving Math Problems
• Wishing he could get laid - *in this lifetime

Okay I'm being mean
But you love it...

Wow...I had no idea that they still made those dorky watches. Kids that wear those are just asking for a beatin'.

Aren't those "80's style"? They could totally be coming back into fashion. I wouldn't be caught dead in one, but I'm just sayin'.

I use to have a watch similar to that in junior high school.

Was never into stamp collecting or solving math problems though.

I once had a job where I had to wear a hairnet. But instead of on my head I was supposed to wear it on my face because my beard had grown QUITE long, if I may be so bold to say. I didn't take the job. I ended up buying the business and firing the guy who wanted me to wear the face net. I had SUCH a good day that day. I know this story may APPEAR fabricated, I swear it's TOTALLY "true".

Did he have a pocket protector too?
I'll bet he did... I'll also bet he had a pair of horn-rimmed glasses hidden in his desk drawer at home.

Wouldn't you like to go inside one of his notebooks only to find doodles of mathematical equations amidst drawings of breasts on mechanical things?

I bet his watch had little pen stab marks on it.

Pudgy fingers, small buttons. You do the math!

A while back during the midst of the summer, when Jen was doing her nostalgic retro type postings, I told Jen she should do a tribute to digital watches. The day has finally come, and it was everything I thought it would be, and more!

Oh, and Jen.. I gave up the stamp collecting

And that's exactly why I don't date white boys.

Well, I guess he'd be good to have cornered me and demanded to know the square root of 435.

I didn't think they still made those either! I had one when I was about 12, and that was a loooooong time ago. It didn't last long as it was too fiddly to use. Back then I expected everyone to be using video watches by now.....
