flashback

Christmas
circa 1998

My mother in-law purchased this for me..

Why.. it's the Snowbabies:
Friendship Club Membership Kit 1998-99!

Now.. Let me ask you this
Do I come off as the type of person who would enjoy
a Snowbabies Friendship Club Membership Kit???

yeah.. I didn't think so either
most people would be able to determine this
after knowing me for about 5 minutes

this is hands down the worst present
I have ever received in my life entire life

I tried to sell it on ebay
but nobody wanted it

However the trash can willingly accepted it

I guess I should have kept it
as a Casual Slack Prize Give-Away!

damn..

the end

yeah, you don't strike me as the cutesy, collecting type. I think people just buy people stuff because they are either:

1. thinking of them but not thinking about what they would want
2. just buying something to buy it.
3. buy something that they know the other person would LOVE because they know their personality.

Guess which one you seem to fall under ALL THE TIME?

I hear Teri still has her Babysitters Club membership. I think she's hinting that she wants your snowbaby membership as well. Well, sorry Teri, I asked first.

You know if you would just collect the whole set, it would open up your eyes to a whole new world...

Billions of dollars worth of product wind up in the garbage can every Christmas. This is our way. These are our traditions. Don't mock us, Casual.

Few people know I was president of the Snowbabies Friendship Club for many years until I was ousted during a military coup.

Oh my god... and I thought my yearly "travel" kits were bad... you know ... toe nail clippers, cuticle cutters, a silver nail file that files down nothing.... we all know how emergency that is. but snow babies takes the fucking cake.

I have never gotten a "normal" gift from my mother-in-law. The most memoriable right now is the Native American Tarot Cards.
