teri- it was colored sand that repels water.. You would get a clear jar or pan, or even use the sink fill it with water and then pour the sand in and make stuff.. mostly just piles of sand.. hours of fun!!
The only magic about that sand is that it isn't all over my car, my house, my shoes, in the bed, and everywhere else like normal sand brought back from the beach.
I still have a bottle of Magic Sand. Mine is the blue sand. If ya drain it on a towel first, then dump it on paper, make a quick crease,and it's back in the bottle like magic!!

Jen, I remember Magic Sand. I don't think I ever bothered trying to get it back in the bottle. It was kind of a one-shot deal.

Now they have something called Moon Sand... I wonder if it's the same.
