A controversial subject, no doubt. And, if he indeed was breaking the law, the state had a right to prosecute. But, 2 years locked up would have been enough to convince Kavorkian to forever cease assisted suicides.

Just maybe there was a stste mandatory minimum sentence. Don't know.

Glad he's free.
