flashback
5th GRADE
we had this student teacher - for a few weeks
I don't remember her name.. I do remember I hated her
anyway
one day she goes over to the maps
you know.. the ones that were over the chalk boards
she goes to pull down a map - she does it with a vengeance..
the thing falls off the wall and smashes her right in the face
she was all over dramatic and was keeled over on the floor - holding her face
she was fine...
next day
she asks if anyone had any questions about the assignment
I raise my hand
(which was unusual, because I was a really quiet/shy kid... no really! I was!)
and say in a sarcastic, yet humorous tone...
"Can you pull the map down again
so we can watch it hit you in the face?"
she didn't laugh
she gave me that silent -mean - teacher - stare - you know the one I'm talking about
and then said "that wasn't very nice."
then stared at me again for a few seconds
I guess she was looking for the "Apology"
Pfffft yeah right
a few kids laughed - it was worth it
the end

this just in...
Mr. Whipple Died..
he was 91
I thought he was already dead
but what the hell do I know
I enjoyed this quote from cnn...
"a man consumed with
keeping bubbly housewives
from fondling toilet paper."

Remember in the movie war games when
Mathew Broderick used a top to a soda can to use the
pay phone for FREE
I use to do that all the time...only I used a straightened out paper clip
I would place one end of the clip into the center of the part you talk into
and then touch the metal part of the pay phone - BAM! Free phone calls!
The Moral of the story..
- WarGames saved me lots of valuable change
which I used to play pole position & pinball at the arcade in the mall
(For all you younger kids out there...
this was way back when pay phones were used
as a way of communicating)
god I'm old..
anyway..
This only goes to show
that you CAN learn a lot from 80's movies

observation
There's a house in my neighborhood with a sign just like this
Instead of putting it at the end of their driveway
they place it practically in the middle of the street
When I see it...
I get this uncontrollable urge to
Hit the gas - floor it up to 95 - and completely obliterate it
then throw my truck into reverse and run over whatever scraps remain
Is that wrong?

wrong road
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
Well... I -
I took the road that everyone else takes
and it fucking sucks
just sayin'
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

November 12th
I was born into this cold, cruel world.
