robins

I recently heard someone say
"Look at that robin, he's listening for worms"

And I thought to myself..
yeah, worms really do make quite a loud ruckus underground...
so loud.. and so unapologetic

...NEWSFLASH...
While the cocked-head posture of a robin seeking food does resemble a
"listening" pose, the bird is actually scrutinizing the ground with
one eye, looking for worms.
