gotta love it

"It's a major award"

I just bought the special edition dvd of
A Christmas Story
I usually just watch it on tv - but I felt that
I needed to own a copy

It's not Christmas if you don't watch this movie
at least once...

"Ralphie Parker" - Peter Billingsley
was just in that move "the break-up"
I didn't even know it was him when I saw it...

"Mr. Parker" - Darren McGavin
died February 25, 2006

"In the heat of battle my father wove a tapestry
of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space
over Lake Michigan."

I love this movie. I especially love the quote.

my best friend just told me she first saw this movie last year. I then asked her if she had been living under a rock? she seemed a little offended.

she's 44 years old and has two kids. I have no kids but I have seen this movie more times than I care to mention. It's a christmas tradition.

Santa Claus: You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

This TOTALLY beats "It's A Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. This movie is never old. I loved it when Ralphie shot his eye out. Hahahaha!

Are you going to make a pilgrimmage to the house in Cleveland though? You can buy one of those lamps at the gift shop ;)

Most amazing Christmas movie. I seriously watch the TBS marathon in its entirety most years. I want that lamp. Have you seen the guy who bought the house that the movie was filmed in? He restored it. It's hilarious.

Scut Farkus though..

Okay, even though I recently told someone I HAD seen this movie, I haven't ever seen it. Blame it on confusion from overwork...

Now I have to go see the just so I don't look like a liar. Sigh. Life is so difficult... :)

Sounds good though!
